Celebrate Lunar New Year with new themed food items inside of Universal Studios Hollywood at Hollywood & Dine!
Readers of my blog may recall that I visited Universal Studios with my family back in 2019. The theme park had exciting Lunar New Year festivities and we got to sample several Chinese dishes and watch special performances.
This year, you can celebrate the holiday during the month of February with the following drinks and dishes:
- Baby Dragon Mocktail
- Dragon’s Breath Cocktail
- Golden Mango Tea
- Fortune Cookie Frappe
- Pork Ramen Noodles
- Longevity Noodles (Vegetarian)
- Orange Chicken
- Black Pepper Beef
- Golden Dragon Corn Dog
- Pork Shu Mai
- Vegetable Spring Rolls
- Chicken Egg Roll
- Lucky Lunar Cookie
- Long Life Sugar Donut
Another exciting foodie find is the all-new Power Up Cafe which opened on February 15th. This exciting new café is located on New York Street in the Upper Lot inside Universal Studios Hollywood. Attendees of the theme park will now have TWO locations to “power up” – inside of Super Nintendo World and now Power Up Cafe!
Can you believe that it’s been one year since the opening of Super Nintendo World?
You may recall that I visited Super Nintendo World with my family last summer during my daughter’s summer vacation.
While we were bowled over by the décor inside Super Nintendo World and the thrilling Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge ride, I was disappointed that we couldn’t land a reservation at Toadstool Cafe. On the plus side, there are a plethora of dining options to choose from at Universal Studios and we had a delicious breakfast at Three Broomsticks.
That said, I can’t wait to try out the new grab and go Power Up Cafe, where guests will find snacks and beverages that include:
- Super Mushroom Calzone: Mushroom shaped calzone filled with pepperoni, sausage, mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce
- 1-Up Mushroom Calzone: Mushroom shaped calzone filled with spinach, green pepper, mushroom, mozzarella cheese and basil pesto
- Fire Flower Pretzel: Fire Flower shaped pretzel served with chipotle cheese, mustard and white queso dipping sauces
- Super Star Popcorn: Butter popcorn topped with edible glitter
- Super Mushroom Fizz: Lemon lime soda with strawberry popping pearls and a strawberry Super Mushroom Power Up
- 1-Up Mushroom Fizz: Lemon lime soda with green apple popping pearls and a lime 1-Up Mushroom Power Up
- Fire Flower Fizz: Lemon lime soda with orange popping pearls and a mango habanero Fire Flower Power Up
- Super Star Fizz: Lemon lime soda with lemon popping pearls and a mango pineapple Super Star Power Up
- and more!
Not to be outdone, check out the mouthwatering dishes that Universal CityWalk is offering in February, March and beyond!
If you follow my Instagram account, you’ll recall that I visited Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen last summer during a special preview event to sample their milkshakes.
I’m pleased to announce that an extra sweet treat is in store at the Emporium, now through February 21st. They will feature a specialty drink, Sweetheart Milkshake, that contains vanilla ice cream, strawberry sauce, buttercream frosting, festive sprinkles, whipped topping, a chocolate-covered strawberry and topped with sweetheart candies.
Over at Voodoo Doughnuts, from March 14 – 17th, the bakery will celebrate the luck of the Irish with a specialty St. Patrick’s Day doughnut.
I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to visit and eat my way through the theme park and Universal CityWalk!
