Who doesn't love tacos? Living in Los Angeles, there is no shortage of Mexican restaurants to try out. I recently dined at Chronic Tacos in Valencia, which is about a 15-20 minute drive from my home since I live in the North Valley area of the SFV. I had never heard of Chronic Tacos until recently. Apparently it is HUGE in Orange County, as it started out in Newport Beach & my friends who live near one of the many Chronic Tacos … [Read more...]

DAVIDsTEA Is My New Favorite Tea Store!

Posted on November 25, 2015 | Filed Under: Food, Product Reviews | Tags: Davids Tea, Los Angeles tea shops, Woodland Hills Tea Shop | 2 Comments

I am an avid tea drinker & I love to discover new loose leaf teas to drink. DAVIDsTEA is a brand new tea store & I am obsessed with it! It is located at the Village at Westfield Topanga in Woodland Hills. While I love brewing & drinking loose leaf tea, I always found it a bit of a pain that the tea filter that I used would let some of the tea residue through to my mug. DAVIDsTEA makes these awesome tea filter bags that are … [Read more...]

Last month I had attended a wonderful event at the Nestle headquarters in Glendale. It was to honor the Día de los Muertos holiday, which in English means, Day of the Dead. Día de los Muertos is a Mexican holiday where families and friends gather to celebrate, remember & prepare special foods in honor of those who have departed. In popular culture, most folks (non-Latino people) only know about Día de los Muertos as it relates to sugar skulls … [Read more...]

Delicious Neapolitan Pizza from #MidiCi in Sherman Oaks!

Posted on November 20, 2015 | Filed Under: Food | Tags: Italian food San Fernando Valley, MidiCi, Sherman Oaks Italian restaurant | 2 Comments

Last month I had the pleasure of trying out a new restaurant called MidiCi. It is located in Sherman Oaks on Ventura Blvd & has been open since June 2015. Both the outside & inside are quite charming. I just love the saying that they have painted on the outside wall that faces Cedros Avenue. At MidiCi, they make Neapolitan pizza with only the freshest, most natural ingredients that are GMO-free. For friends who have a gluten … [Read more...]

#VictoriaFineFoods Review + Pasta with Tomato Basil Chicken {Recipe}

Posted on November 18, 2015 | Filed Under: Food | Tags: pasta recipe, Pasta with Tomato Basil Chicken, Victoria Fine Foods | 5 Comments

The following post is sponsored by Victoria Fine Foods. All opinions are 100% my own. How often do you cook pasta? If you cook it weekly, then you are probably like me & always searching for new recipes or variations of a classic standby to try out. Sure the ingredients make a difference in what you throw in with the pasta, but often times by changing up the pasta sauce, it will bring a whole new flavor into the mix! Over the past few … [Read more...]
