As a child, I enjoyed summertime because it meant sleeping in, fun playdates, and spending time reading books that I enjoyed – novels and mysteries that transported me away to another time and place. With “The Adventures of Rockford T. Honeypot” – your child will be able to go on escapades with Rockford and his friends. As a young chipmunk, shy, bookish Rockford T. New Children’s Books to Delight Your Early Reader
One of the things I loved doing with my daughter when she was a toddler is to take her to the bookstore to look at children’s books. We would spend an hour or two browsing the aisles and sitting next to other kids with their parents during storytime. My daughter is older now, and times have changed. There are fewer local bookstores and with stay-at-home orders in many cities, you probably are not aware about new book releases. Little kids … [Read more...]

We read storybooks about going to the potty, but she was nervous about using it. My kiddo’s preschool teacher really worked with her to overcome her fear. Plus I used candy to reward her for using the toilet. Then voilà…she … [Read more...]
Laura Gehl Introduces Two NEW Children’s Storybooks
When my daughter was a toddler, I loved to read her storybooks. It was a special time for both of us. She would sit in my lap or next to me on the couch, point to the colorful illustrations & smile with joy. Storytime really opened up her imagination & introduced her to new vocab words. I would often try to get her to sound out the words in the story by saying “copy Mommy.” Laura Gehl is a children’s book author with two new books – … [Read more...]
