So much has changed in the span of a week. Just the other day, I was publishing my opinion piece on “Keeping Calm & Carrying On” when it comes to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). At the time I was feeling that we should remain “business as usual” and to some degree I still do. However I feel like in time, we will all need to start adjust to a new normal. Last night I held an event at StretchLab Granada Hills. I expected cancellations … [Read more...]
The Art of the Brick at California Science Center
Last weekend, the California Science Center premiered its newest exhibit – the Art of the Brick! Featuring over 100 works of art created from over one million LEGO bricks by artist Nathan Sawaya, a former corporate lawyer. My daughter and I were invited to a special viewing for media last Sunday and we were SO impressed with the scale and design of the artwork. It’s truly a must-see! Gus’s Barbecue in Porter Ranch {Foodie Review}
Earlier this month, Gus’s Barbecue opened a new location in the San Fernando Valley. Up until now, I had not been familiar with Gus’s Barbecue, but I quickly learned that the original South Pasadena restaurant has a big following! Since 1946, Gus’s has been serving up traditional Southern cooking and finger-licking BBQ. The restaurant is in a new shopping center called The Vineyards at Porter Ranch, located between Whole Foods and a Nordstrom … [Read more...]
