Allen Leech - Tom Branson

It’s been a little over 3 years since the series finale of “Downton Abbey” aired on the small screen. Fans of the television show, myself included, were thrilled to see storylines wrapped up neatly - Edith finally found love and got married, Anna and Bates have a baby, kitchen helper Daisy becomes smitten with Andy, and so on. So when I first heard about the “Downton Abbey” movie, I was thrilled beyond belief! Would the entire cast come back? … [Read more...]

KCON LA 2019 - LA Convention Center

A few weeks ago, I attended my very first KCON. For those who are not familiar, KCON is a celebration of Korean pop culture. This fun-filled weekend highlights Korean food, K-Beauty (make-up and skincare products), and of course…K-Pop music! KCON was held at the Convention Center in downtown LA. I was invited to attend the conference as a member of the media. Although I’m not well-versed in all things K-Pop, I thoroughly immersed … [Read more...]

Summertime Fun in Marina del Rey!

Posted on July 2, 2019 | Filed Under: Food, Local Events | Tags: Marina del Rey | 2 Comments

Three things come to mind when I think of Marina del Rey - boats, beaches, and food! It's an easy drive from the Valley, about 45 minutes or less, depending on traffic. With the upcoming Fourth of July weekend coming up, this is the perfect place to get away for the day! Just recently, my family and I spent a gorgeous sunny Saturday exploring this seaside town. First up on our list of things to do, head to Mother’s Beach! Now I’ve lived in … [Read more...]

Toy Story 4 Poster

Can you believe it has been 9 years since the last Toy Story movie was released in the theater? My daughter was in preschool at the time and we watched it together as a family, tearing up at the end. This week, my kiddo (now a teen), accompanied me to the Toy Story 4 movie screening and it was a like a trip down memory lane! You’ll recall that at the end of Toy Story 3, Andy gives his toys to little Bonnie. In this latest film, all of the … [Read more...]

Pacific Visions Aquarium Pacific Virtual Waterfall

The new Pacific Visions wing at the Aquarium of the Pacific has been opened since May 24th. Earlier this month, my family had the opportunity to tour Pacific Visions, as well as take in all the fun things that the rest of the aquarium has to offer. Pacific Visions Pacific Visions is a 29,000 square-foot, two-story structure that is very sleek and modern. When you first walk in, you are invited to sit in the waiting area on benches to … [Read more...]

Baby Astronaut by Laura Gehl

Laura Gehl delights readers, both parents and children alike, with four new storybooks this season. For those who follow my blog, you may recall that I’ve reviewed Laura’s books before. I just adore her stories – like the ones about Peep, an adorable yellow baby chick or My Pillow Keeps Moving which is about a man and his four-legged friend. First up is Baby Scientist: Oceanographer, a story about a toddler “scientist” who snorkels in the … [Read more...]
