It’s another edition of “Friday Feels” which is a free-flowing post on 5 things that I’m into right now.
What I’m Watching
I have high hopes for “Killing Eve” and if the first episode is any indication, then season 3 looks promising. I finished “Ozark” season 3 and that was so much better than season 2. I’m hoping that the same goes for this season of “Killing Eve.”
I’m continuing with “Little Fires Everywhere” on Hulu. This show is everything – from the acting to the storyline, and even the music! I’ve started watching “Mrs. America” on Hulu as well and I finally finished watching the Hillary Clinton doc. The Hulu documentary was fascinating and also made me a bit sad. How different would our life be if she were president and not Trump?
Of course, my love for all things Bravo TV continues. This week brought the premiere of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” and a new episode of “Real Housewives of New York.” I love love the new girl on New York, Leah McSweeney. She’s like a breath of fresh air! I like how straightforward she is and that she’s not afraid to stand up to Dorinda Medley.
Not to be outdone, Bev Hills is finally upping its game with a new juicy storyline and a fresh addition to the cast! Garcelle Beauvais is giving this franchise a new life with her fashion and her hot takes on the cast. The jury is out on Sutton Stracke – not sure what to make of her yet. What I’m Looking Forward To
My generation (shout out to Gen Xers!) grew up on “We Are the World” and “Live Aid.” The “One World: Together at Home” charity concert will air simultaneously on Saturday via ABC, NBC, Viacom/CBS Networks, Facebook, Twitter, as well as on BBC. Singers and celebrities include Lady Gaga, Alanis Morissette, Andrea Bocelli, Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, Chris Martin, David Beckham, Eddie Vedder, Idris and Sabrina Elba, Elton John, Lizzo, Paul McCartney, John Legend, Kacey Musgraves, Keith Urban, Kerry Washington, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Stevie Wonder. It will be hosted by Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, and Stephen Colbert.Click here to get details on how to watch it on TV or stream it on your digital devices.
30-Day Challenges
I’m doing two different challenges on my Instagram stories. One is my 30-day Fitness Challenge, which has been going well. I’ve committed to working out or “moving consistently” for at least 30 minutes. I usually walk on the treadmill after I clock out of work, follow a YouTube video or I’ll do this strength-training workout.
I’m posting to my IG Stories to the Instagram account tied to my blog. There have been a few days that I’ve skipped (Easter being one of them) because I just wasn’t in the mood to exercise. The whole point for me is to up my workouts from 2-3 times a week to daily because I’m not moving around as much as I used to when I worked outside of the house and I had a 10-minute walk from the parking garage to the office building.
I’m also doing a 30-day photo challenge for the month of April. There are different themes each day that I follow and I’m posting that on my personal Instagram account under IG Stories.
Restlessness
You know that saying, “the natives are getting restless”? While I’m sure that’s not a politically correct phrase to say anymore, it does accurately describe the mood in my home and I’m sure around the country. I think we can all agree that it sucks to be quarantined at home, but it’s for a good reason. Kids are missing out on graduation ceremonies, proms, sports events, etc. The alternative to “going back to normal” too soon though is that people might get sick or infected with the coronavirus. So there’s that…
Who’s Zoomin’ Who?
I’m sure we are all pros now at using Zoom, FaceTime, Skype, Instagram Live, and Microsoft Teams. These video conference platforms are what’s keeping us connected and enable us to socialize in ways that were unheard of 15 years ago. Actually Skype might have been around but honestly, we all know that Zoom is the clear winner in the video conference wars.
Within the last 2 weeks, I’ve used Zoom for two video conference interviews with The Moms! The first one was with Nora Dunn, Josh Duhamel, and the creatives of “The Lost Husband.” You can read all about it here.
Last night, The Moms held another Mamarazzi Online with Laura Prepon. She’s an actress (“Orange is the New Black”), director, and author. Her new book, “You and I, as Mothers: A Raw and Honest Guide to Motherhood” was published on April 7th. Laura met with us online via Zoom to discuss motherhood, her book, and her life under quarantine restrictions while doing a virtual book tour.
Interestingly enough, my tweet about the Zoom interview with Laura Prepon got SO many likes & retweets. I’ve never had a tweet get so much attention! Stay tuned for my blog post that recaps the interview.
I had a blast chatting w/ @LauraPrepon & @themoms about her new book, #YouAndIAsMothers. Her advice to to teenagers: There's only one you – embrace that! #MamarazziOnline #LauraPrepon #TheMoms pic.twitter.com/kBJsEh9PXA

That’s it for this week in quarantine. Hope you have a great weekend, although honestly, aren’t all of the days blurring together at this point?!?
