I was recently introduced to the band, Time for Three (Tf3). The members of Time For Three are Nick Kendall – Violin, Zach De Pue – Violin & Ranaan Meyer – Double Bass. They are classically trained string musicians who perform classical music from Bach & Brahms, but then during that same concert will play songs from contemporary artists such as Katy Perry, Kanye West & Justin Timberlake.
In fact, it is Time for Three’s cover of the song “Stronger” by Kanye West that really caught my attention. I love the musical arrangement, but it is the video that really blows me away! The music video promotes an anti-bullying message as well as the importance of music education. Take a look for yourself…

I think it is great that these three young men used this platform to create such a strong positive message for young people. Unlike the original singer/rapper/songwriter of the song, this dynamic trio of musicians uses their talent for social good!
So how does their Time for Three CD sound? The other week, I listened to it for 2 days straight in my car & I have to say that I really like it! It’s instrumental music with a twist. You can definitely hear elements of classical, bluegrass, country western & jazz.
Some of my favorites include: the toe-tapping Banjo Love, Happy Day featuring Jake Shimabukuro, & Winter featuring Joshua Radin.

I agree Mary! Music motivates me during workouts but also calms me down during busy freeway traffic situations. I listened to this CD when I had to be on the 405 freeway! 🙂 Thanks for checking out my blog.
