Who knew that a product that is used in my household on a weekly basis would be so revolutionary? To be honest with you, when I first saw Cheeky paper plates at Target, I thought wow, what cute patterns but I’ll just stick with my “XYZ brand” of paper plates. Then I saw a cool Cheeky product photo on Instagram. That got me into researching their Twitter & Facebook page, only to discover that while their product is of primary importance, it is their mission & donation program that is equally significant to me.
If you follow my blog, then it should come as know surprise that I like to support causes buy purchasing products that go to a worthy cause. From Half United to the Mission Belt or companies like Toms & organizations like Hunger Is – there are countless ways where you can “put your money where your mouth is” & donate to a worthy cause. Of course you should always do your research & find out what percentage of your purchase is actually going to the charity. Putting your support & money behind a cause is a very personal thing. The exciting thing about Cheeky is that for every Cheeky product that you buy, they will help donate a meal to someone who needs it right here in the U.S. through their partnership with Feeding America.

Cheeky isn’t just paper plates. They have a full line of tabletop products from paper bowls, plates & coffee cups.
Cheeky has also tapped into designers like Molly Hatch who designed Cheeky’s paper bowl & coffee cups. There has been so much chatter in the last week about “red coffee cups.” How about brewing your own coffee or tea at home & taking it on the go in a Molly Hatch designed cup from Cheeky! At least with this cup you know that a portion is going to Feeding America!
So how does it work? According to the company, “For each Cheeky™ item purchased, Cheeky™ will donate the monetary equivalent of a meal to Feeding America®. One meal is equivalent to $0.10. $1 helps provide 10 meals secured by Feeding America® on behalf of local food banks. Cheeky™ guarantees a minimum of 1.5 million meals (monetary equivalent of $150,000) to Feeding America® from 11/01/2015 to 11/01/2016. This purchase/donation is not tax deductible for guests. Cheeky™ is solely responsible for this program and donations.”
The tabletop designs are super cute & whimsical enough for even a holiday or birthday party. Personally I like them for everyday use as well. All I know is that my family uses this basic necessity anyway, so why not purchase it at your local Target & help contribute to a good cause!
