**2/28/17 EDITOR’S NOTE: I was informed via Yelp & also the My Fit Foods website that the business is closed.**
Ever since my daughter was a toddler, if she didn’t finish all of her food at mealtime, I’d pick at the leftovers because I didn’t want them to go to waste. Can you relate? How about this… you’re making dinner & you start sampling the food while you’re cooking because you’ve been rushing around all day. I’ve done that many a time & then when it is finally dinner time, I eat a small meal. However, once my kiddo has gone to bed, I fire up the DVR & snack on food that is sometimes healthy & sometimes not. Sound familiar?
Recently I was invited to a “lunch & learn” at My Fit Foods in Sherman Oaks where they have over 60 delicious & nutritious meals to choose from. As someone who struggles with meal portions & sometimes “forgets” to eat a proper lunch, I wanted to hear what My Fit Foods has to offer.
Having done the frozen diet food route once before when my daughter was about 5 years old, I was eager to learn about the My Fit Foods 21-Day Challenge. First off, their meals are made fresh daily in-house & never frozen. Check out their refrigerator that is stocked full with meals & healthy snacks!
I met with Liset who is a coach at the My Fit Foods in Sherman Oaks. She walked me through the My Fit Foods forms & menu.
Then it was time for me to choose my lunch! The entrée I picked out was the Spinach & Chicken Enchiladas.
While I ate my tasty meal, Liset showed me a sample menu of the 21-Day Challenge containing 3 meals a day, plus two snacks.
The idea is that you come in every 3 or 4 days to pick-up your fresh meals. With over 54 stores nationwide (several stores in SoCal & TWO in the San Fernando Valley area), My Fit Foods makes it convenient (and fun) to pick out your food. Plus unlike some meal services/plans, you don’t have to pay for shipping!
Liset explained how My Fit Foods gives personalized support & education. She offers daily or twice a week check-ins (text, email or phone call). If that’s too much for you, she will do weekly check-ins or whatever communication level you prefer.
Another plus is that My Fit Foods offers vitamin & nutritional supplements that you can take with your food. For busy folks, this place is like a one-stop shop!
This 21-Day Challenge is an appealing option to kick-start your fitness & nutrition goals. There’s a saying about how it takes 3 weeks to break a habit. Perhaps after the 21-Day Challenge, you’ll be able to reset your frame of mind & live healthier.

I wish I had known you were there! It’s so close to my house, but my favorite place in the WORLD is in that shopping center!! Blanks Studios!! We should go there together for a class. They’re the best. I often stop into My Fit Foods afterwards to get dinner for the following day. Delicious and healthy!

I love trying out new fitness studios. We should totally set a date for a meet-up & then grab food afterwards at MFF! 🙂
