Editor’s Note: This review of “Hotel Transylvania: Transformania” was written during the 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Real Mom of SFV would like to acknowledge that without the labor of the writers and actors who are currently on strike, films such as this would not be possible.
“Hotel Transylvania: Transformania” is the fourth installment of the “Hotel Transylvania” series.
The film features voice actors Andy Samberg, Selena Gomez, Kathryn Hahn, Jim Gaffigan, Steve Buscemi, Molly Shannon and David Spade. Brian Hull replaced Adam Sandler as Dracula.
So what is this latest iteration of “Hotel Transylvania” about? Check out the synopsis below…
When Van Helsing’s mysterious invention, the “Monsterfication Ray,” goes haywire, Drac and his monster pals are all transformed into humans, and Johnny becomes a monster! In their new mismatched bodies, Drac, stripped of his powers, and an exuberant Johnny, loving life as a monster, must team up and race across the globe to find a cure before it’s too late, and before they drive each other crazy.
Recently my family and I watched “Hotel Transylvania: Transformania” and found it to be entertaining. It’s funny and goofy, just like the other movies in the franchise. The big draw for me is Andy Samberg and Selena Gomez. Even though they are voice actors and most likely not recording their performance in front of each other, they have such good chemistry.
