Checking Out Drenched Fitness – aka #BritneysFaveWorkout

Posted on March 12, 2015 | Filed Under: Fitness | Tags: Britney Spears workout, Drenched Fitness, Westlake Village fitness studio | 7 Comments

Last month I attended an event at Drenched Fitness in Westlake Village. During the class I alternated between running on a treadmill & floor exercises using the HIIT method (high-intensity interval training). All the while, a local DJ played music that kept me motivated & pumped up. The class was a total hit HIIT!

Afterwards, much like the studio name implies, I was totally drenched! Fortunately I was able to pull myself together for a quick photo with Drenched Fitness owner, Julie Kennington, before she had to teach the next class.

I’ve attended bootcamp classes before, but this one was different in that we also got to sample Flexline, which is a cable-weight apparatus used for strength training. Unfortunately I was too busy working out to take photos of the equipment, but I hope to go back again once Flexline is fully incorporated into their existing Drenched classes.

The evening was sponsored by Women’s Health magazine, which had just done a profile of Britney Spears. It’s no secret that Britney lives in the West SFV/Conejo Valley area (when she’s not singing her hits at Planet Hollywood in Vegas). However, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Brit Brit credits the Totally Drenched classes with keeping her in tip top shape!

As you can imagine, after the class I was starving. Luckily they had yummy salads from the Salad Farm in Woodland Hills, which was my go-to lunch place when I used to work in the Warner Center area several years ago.

Quest Nutrition was on-hand to pass out snacks like their Protein Chips & Quest Bars. I even saw my fave S’mores Quest Bar at the table! The Nutrition Fix, based in Westlake Village, handed out samples of their yummy smoothies & teas.

Many thanks to Drenched Fitness, Women’s Health & the local area sponsors for hosting such a fun event. I can’t wait to come back & get totally drenched!

it was great to see you at this event. The class certainly seemed like a killer (I can’t wait to go once I’m cleared by PT).

That sounds like a fun class! I need to get back down to California to try some of these new workouts, my town doesn’t have a whole lot of variety!

It’s a great concept, so that would be nice if they franchised it out to other cities, including some in Orange County! Thanks for checking out my blog post!
