Last week, my daughter and I attended the premiere of L.O.L. Surprise! The Next Headliner. We got to interview the cast on the red carpet, watch a few episodes of the series, and celebrate at the after-party.
If you have a child between the ages of 4 and 14, chances are you’ve heard of L.O.L. Surprise! Dolls and bought a toy or two. Created by MGA Entertainment, these popular mini fashion dolls come hidden inside a plastic ball containing seven layers of unboxing surprises, including stickers, shoes and tiny accessories.
L.O.L. Surprise! The Next Headliner is a live-action original series based on the global L.O.L. Surprise! franchise. The show features a docu-comedy format and a “Making the Band” vibe. When I caught up with writer and showrunner Corinne Marshall on the red carpet, I asked her to describe the show.

Following the screening, there was a Q&A panel moderated by The Hollywood Reporter digital managing editor Kimberly Nordyke.

After the panel, it was time to party! They had delicious food, themed drinks and desserts, a deejay, and photo booth!
The first of eight episodes premiered on August 1st on the official L.O.L. Surprise! YouTube channel. Subsequent episodes drop bi-weekly, with a full soundtrack album scheduled to release alongside the season finale. The series is produced in partnership with London Alley, a VICE Media company and writer-showrunner Corinne Marshall.

What a fun behind-the-scenes look at L.O.L. Surprise. The Next Headliner! I enjoyed reading about the red carpet interviews and premiere experience. Your photos and cast insights really captured the excitement and made the series even more appealing.
The LOL line kinda reminds me of the bratz dolls when my daughter was younger. She never got into the LOL. I’m hoping her wife is pregnant with a girl this time. It would be fun to see all the new girl toys like these dolls.
This looks like the best time. I bet this will be awesome. My daughter used to collect these toys and had so many.
