This past weekend, my family & I checked out Winter Wonderfest at Discovery Cube LA.
As soon as we got there, my daughter tried out the snow sled.
Then it was my turn for some action. However I went over to the other area – sliding down a 75-foot long ramp on an inner tube was so fun!
Also on-site were the folks from the LA Kings, along with Bailey (who posed with us for pics).
Kids have the opportunity to play in real snow! In fact there’s over one hundred tons of real snow at this outdoor exhibit!!
While there is plenty to do, it’s not all snow fun & games. There’s an educational component too!
My kiddo got to learn fun facts about snow from a Discovery Cube educator.
We learned all about the science of snow & how animals adapt to the cold.
After we had our fun in the sun & snow, we went inside to check out the Science of Gingerbread exhibit. In this seasonal exhibit (it closes on January 1st), you can participate in cookie decorating & view the neat Gingerbread Houses on display.
My kiddo’s favorite part was building & racing her own candy car in the Gingerbread Derby Competition!

That looks like fun! I’m glad you had fun. I’m gonna check it out. It’s good to know they will be there past New Years (when my life is less chaotic)

My kids would love to sled for the first time minus a trek to the mountains!
