For almost two decades, my family has been going to Facey Medical Group for our health care needs. Before I had my daughter, I visited the Northridge location for my annual check-up & well-woman visits. After I changed jobs, it became more convenient to visit the Facey Medical Group over in Porter Ranch. My hubby also goes to Facey & has been to 3 of their locations.
After we had our daughter, we continued to use Facey for both adult and pediatric medical care. Except for a couple of trips to the ER, all of my daughter’s medical care has been with a Facey pediatrician or at Facey Urgent Care in Mission Hills (for the occasional bronchial infection or those pesky ear infections that always seem to flare up on a Saturday morning).
I am thrilled to partner with Facey Medical Group to share with you my experiences & to let you know that they have opened a new location in the San Fernando Valley. Located in Tarzana, near the corner of Lindley Ave & Ventura Blvd, is the gleaming modern building of Facey’s newest medical facility!
Facey Tarzana opened its doors in February 2017. Just like all of the other Facey Medical Group locations, Facey Tarzana utilizes state of the art medical equipment & everything is done electronically. No more prescription medicine orders written on a pad of paper – they send it through their computer system to the pharmacy closest to my house! Facey utilizes an electronic health record system, so that your medical history is just a few taps of the keyboard away for your Facey medical provider.
Another great convenience is that Facey Medical Group has automatic telephone reminders set-up to make sure that you don’t miss any upcoming appointments. It is inevitable that I will forget about my annual mammo or my kid’s yearly physical, even though I have it programmed in my Google calendar & also written on our refrigerator calendar (one that gets overlooked as it sits amid a sea of magnets & school-based art projects). Nothing like coming home to a beeping answering machine to remind you of your annual physical the next day, as well as bloodwork to be done at Facey’s on-site lab.
Speaking of resources, Facey Tarzana has:
- 7 Medical Providers (in the areas of internal medicine, pediatrics & Ob-Gyn)
- On-site lab and radiology services
- Dedicated parking
- Close proximity to Providence Tarzana Medical Center
One of the nice things about having both adult & pediatric services under one roof is that you’ll have a familiarity with the location & the services that Facey Tarzana can provide. For example, last month I was having my well woman exam & I mentioned that my daughter was about to turn 11 years old. Although my daughter was not with me at the time, I asked my Ob-Gyn provider about the HPV vaccine. She gave me a rundown of the statistics, as well as handed me a pamphlet that I could read over later with my family. Then she mentioned that our pediatrician would give us additional information at my daughter’s next appointment.
If you’re not familiar with Facey, they have locations throughout Simi Valley, San Fernando Valley & Valencia/Santa Clarita. There are two Facey Urgent Care Centers – one in Mission Hills (San Fernando Valley) & one in Valencia (Santa Clarita Valley). My husband & I have been going to Facey Medical Group since 1999. We’ve tried out different locations, doctors & nurse practitioners.
While I have not personally been treated at Facey Tarzana, I am a big believer in their quality care, exceptional customer service & state-of-the-art facility. Plus both Dr. Tina Verder (Ob-Gyn) and Dr. Jayvee Regala (Pediatrics) are doctors that have treated our family when they used to work at another Facey location. So if we do end up making the switch to Facey Tarzana, I know just who to sign up with! 🙂
