A few weeks ago, I attended the Healthy Brand Showcase held at West Hollywood’s Mondrian Hotel. This one-day media event showcased brands that are focused on health, wellness & nutrition.
As I checked out each of the booths, I began to notice a pattern – that the foods offered were either organic, non-GMO and/or vegan. Many of my friends & family have shifted their mindset to purchasing organic & non-GMO foods. Some have also “leaned into” being vegan, if not become completely vegan, so it was nice to view these options.
Here are some of my personal favorites from the show!
ProYo
Who doesn’t love ice cream? ProYo isn’t just your regular, run-of-the mill ice cream. This ice cream is a low fat ice cream with a high-protein blend.
It’s also non-GMO and both gluten & soy free. Better yet, it tastes great! Reps from ProYo scooped out samples from their sundae bar throughout the event. My favorite flavor was Salted Caramel Crunch!
Nature Nate’s Raw & Unfiltered Honey
This Texas-based company serves up raw & unfiltered honey that tastes SO sweet in its pure form. I also sampled their honey in Meyer Lemon, Vanilla Bean & Cinnamon flavors.
Nature Nate’s Raw & Unfiltered Honey is offered in a variety of sizes. One of my favorite containers are the ones shown in the picture below. The pretty packaging makes for a nice gift!
This box containing 30 packets is great for traveling. Just pop one or two single-serve packets in your purse or lunch box! Perfect for picnics or playdate in the park…honey & apple slices anyone? 🙂
Morinaga Nutritional Foods
New to the scene is Morinaga’s Alove. It’s a new yogurt that contains small chunks of aloe vera. It comes in three flavors: Blueberry, original Aloe & Strawberry.
Morinaga has been selling aloe yogurt in Japan for years, but now the company is bringing it to the United States under the name Alove. Fun Fact: Alove is made in the U.S. using locally sourced California milk.
Morinaga also had on-hand their Almond & Soymilk Blend, as well as their product line of Silken Tofus.
Made in Nature
When I arrived at this booth, I was overwhelmed with their huge product assortment of snacks. Talk about snacks on, snacks on, snacks! (Forgive me for quoting that TV commercial.) The cool thing about Made in Nature’s product line is that everything is USDA Organic & verified Non-GMO.
With products ranging from Kale Chips, Dried Fruit, Coconut Chips & my favorite – Figgy Pops, there’s something for everyone!
Some of the other brands featured:
Bambooloo
BIOHM
Dollop, Inc.
Earth Circle Organics
Eat The Ball
MyChelle Dermaceuticals
Sambazon
SPIBelt
SpiceFit
Wyndmere Naturals
ZeroWater
I had a great time learning about the different brands, sampling products & meeting with company reps! For my readers that live on the East Coast, take note that Healthy Brand Showcase – East will take place next month in NYC.
Thanks Healthy Brand Showcase for inviting me to this fun & very informative event!
