The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part opens today! To celebrate the movie’s release, my daughter & I visited The LEGO Space Hollywood last weekend. We had such a blast!
Once you enter the enclosed structure, located on the corner of Hollywood Blvd and Vine Street, it’s as if you’ve been transported directly into The LEGO Movie 2 universe.
There’s also a section where you can take a photo with Emmet. The pop-up has fun photo opps & video monitors in certain areas to capture your awesomeness. Then you have the option of emailing the images to yourself so that you can share on social media later.
In another part of the pop-up, you walk down a dark but glowing hallway to enter the Systar System!
There’s an area where you can dance on GIANT moveable turntables, make a sticker of your family, take photos/videos in various booths & of course, build LEGOs.
My daughter spent a long time in the room where you could build LEGOs.
The section that we both loved the most was the white sticker room. As a young child, I used to collect stickers, so this was like a dream come true!
If you are looking for a fun family outing this weekend (perhaps before or after you watch the The LEGO Movie 2), then you’ll want to visit LEGO Space Hollywood. It’s free to visit; however timed tickets are sold out & the last day to visit is Sunday, February 10th. There is hope though! They have a standby/walk-up line & will try to accommodate as many people as possible. You can get more information here.
Not able to visit the pop-up? You can still experience the Systar System by watching the movie which is out now in theaters everywhere! Check out my movie review that includes cast interviews here!
