I can’t believe it’s been a year since I last wrote a Friday Feels blog post! With the summer in full swing, I thought I’d write a quick post on things that I’m into or hope to do this summer.
Disney-Pixar’s LUCA
This is a movie about two young boys on an adventure in a seaside town in Italy. My family really enjoyed watching it. It’s lighthearted, funny and sweet, perfect for a Saturday night watch!
Here’s a treat for those with little kids! You can use this link to download FREE activity sheets and coloring pages to keep your little ones occupied.
Exercising
I’m a big believer in the mind-body connection. When I work out, I feel better and it’s a great stress release. I re-joined Row House last year because they offered outdoor rowing classes in the parking lot.
Was it tough to workout in the cold or blazing heat? Yes, at times. Did I enjoy smelling the scent of garlic from a nearby restaurant? Not really, in fact it gave me the munchies! I’m a happy camper now that Row House Granada Hills moved their classes indoors. Masks are not required but I choose to wear one anyway.
Central Park on Apple TV+
I love the songs sung by the characters on “Central Park!” Starring voice actors Josh Gad, Leslie Odom Jr., Kristen Bell, Kathryn Hahn, Tituss Burgess, Daveed Diggs, Emmy Raver-Lampman, and Stanley Tucci. This animated TV show is so funny. If you’ve never watched it, give it a try! There’s 10 episodes in season 1 – a great binge-watch for this weekend! Apple TV+ just released episode 4 today, so that’s what I’ll view this weekend!
Music Concerts
I got a brochure in the mail from Hollywood Bowl outlining their summer calendar. I don’t know about you but I’m looking forward to going to an outdoor music concert again. I’m hoping to see a show late summer/early fall.
4th of July Weekend
It’s supposed to be hot in the Valley, so I’d I’m not sure what we will do. Maybe we will go to the beach or head over to Marina del Rey to do some stand-up paddle boarding (SUP).
For those who have pets, like me, make sure you secure them safely inside your house before dusk because neighborhood fireworks will surely scare them. Here are some additional tips from the American Veterinary Medical Foundation (AVMF) to consider.
Wishing you all a happy and safe 4th of July weekend!
