Craving a new workout that’s high-intensity and combines Pilates with deep core activation, and functional strength? Well, Pilates Addiction is about to become your new “fix”! 😉
This past Saturday, I attended the grand opening festivities and tried out a 50-minute Core+ class. The first thing I noticed when I stepped inside the studio is the clean, modern aesthetic.
@realmomofsfv Craving a new workout that’s high intensity & combines Pilates with core exercises & functional strength? Well, Pilates Addiction is about to become your new “fix”! This past Saturday, I attended the grand opening festivities @Pilates Addiction & tried out a 50-minute Core+ class. The studio is such a vibe 🔥 & the class is challenging & gave me such an endorphin rush afterwards! #pilatesaddiction #WundaFormer #pilates #fitnessstudio #WundaChair #WestHollywood #WeHofitness #LApilates
The overall atmosphere and interactive lighting features create a “clubby” vibe. In fact, during the grand opening weekend, Pilates Addiction hosted late-night Glow Classes, which consisted of a Pilates-driven class under blacklight, set to a live DJ soundtrack. When I asked if the Glow Classes would be a regular occurrence, I was told that they might host them again during special occasions or holidays.
After putting on my grip socks, I quickly picked out my exercise station. Now for those of you who have taken a Pilates class, unlike other Pilates studios, Pilates Addiction uses a patented WundaFormer that is exclusive to the studio. This machine integrates a reformer, jump board, ballet barre, and a Wunda Chair into one seamless platform.
The classes are led by certified Educators who guide clients through full-body training designed to build strength, control, and mobility.
The Core+ class that I took is a high-energy, dynamic workout. We used every part of the WundaFormer, as well as hand weights and a WundaCore Resistance Ring.
Speaking of classes, earlier that day, Mario Lopez took a Pilates Addiction class taught by Amy Jordan who is the founder of the Pilates Addiction method.
Amy Jordan is the franchise owner of the West Hollywood studio. A household name in the Pilates industry, Amy opened her first WundaBar Pilates studio in 2011. She is also an inventor, having designed and patented the WundaFormer, as well as the WundaCore Resistance Ring. Both of these items will be used in all Pilates Addiction studios.
For those who follow my blog, you may recall that I reviewed WundaBar’s Studio City location back in 2015. Check out this photo of me and Amy from 10 years ago!
Following the Core+ class was the ribbon cutting ceremony and meet-and-greet mixer with the Pilates Addiction team. After congratulating Amy on her new venture, I quickly asked if we could take a photo and bookend my experience with her fitness studios.
Overall, I enjoyed the workout, and I highly recommend giving it a try. In fact, they have a new client special where you can book a free intro session!

I’ve never done Pilates, I would love to try it…The Pilates Addiction studio seems awesome, a must try for sure.
I have looked at Pilates so many times, but have never yet been brave enough to go to a class. I need to find somewhere near me and try it
Thanks Jen – great review.
I’ve never done Pilates but have heard it’s a great workout.
I would probably be in pain, but I’d try it out. I’ve always wanted to try Pilates.

My favorite part of this club is that nightclub atmosphere. It’s so energetic!
I love the vibe of this place! I need high energy to make my workouts fun and effective, and this looks like the perfect place for me.
This sounds like such a refreshing studio! I love how welcoming and supportive the environment seems. It’s always a plus when instructors genuinely care about helping you feel your best.

It does look like a bit of a club place instead of a gym place, which is really quite fun! Seems like a great place to get your fitness in.
The Wunderformer sounds amazing. I would love to try this machine.
It’s an amazing machine that provides a good workout!
I do pilates every Friday but in a normal studio, without other equipment than balls and blocks. I am intrigued by all that equipment at this studio.
I’ve taken a Mat Pilates class (which is the type that you are referring to you in your comment). Those are challenging classes too. This fitness studio is along the lines of Reformer Pilates where we use a machine with springs and straps for added resistance.
Hope you can give it a try one day! 🙂
