Last Wednesday (June 25th) was my one year blogiversary. Interestingly enough, I had spent that day surrounded by fellow bloggers at the Disney On-the-Road Celebration event in Scottsdale, Arizona. It was such an inspiring day! I learned a lot & I'm so glad that I made the trek from CA to AZ. (Recap will be posted on the blog at a later date.) It was during the drive from LA with my parents & young daughter that made me contemplate … [Read more...]
Viola Davis Has Firsthand Knowledge of What “Hunger Is”
On June 10th, I attended a media event to learn more about the Hunger Is Organization. According to their mission statement, the goal is to eradicate childhood hunger in America & to improve health-related outcomes for hungry children & their families. Two foundations, the Safeway Foundation & the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF) have partnered together to do just that. Denise Albert & Melissa Musen Gerstein of The Moms … [Read more...]

You probably know Alison from her various TV show credits, such as The Biggest Loser or Days of Our Lives. I had been to Duff’s Cakemix before, having taken my daughter to decorate cupcakes over Spring … [Read more...]

The following post is sponsored by One2One Network. All opinions are 100% my own. I'm always on the hunt for new music by different artists. Alex Lemonade Stand – Fighting to Cure Childhood Cancer #OneCupAtATime
Earlier this month, I worked at a charity event where the proceeds went towards breast cancer research. I found the whole event incredibly moving. Next month I will take part in another event, fundraising for the Alex Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF). Did you know that this summer will mark 10 years since 8-year-old Alexandra “Alex” Scott (1996-2004) challenged the nation to help her raise $1 million for childhood cancer cures, one cup of … [Read more...]

The following post is sponsored by One2One Network and ScholarShare. All opinions are 100% my own. My daughter is in elementary school & while saving for her college education is a priority, my husband & I just haven’t had the time to research our options. Many of my mom friends are in the same boat, we know we should do it but the process seems overwhelming. Where do we start? How much do we put away? What if my kid ends up not going … [Read more...]
