Hyperwear - Sandbell_variety

I’ve always been a fan of working out, not just for my physical health but for my emotional well-being and mental health. When I feel anxious or on edge, I take a cycle class. I love the “high” that I get after a good sweat session! So when I (along with everyone else in the country) had to shelter in place, I wasn’t sure what I was going to do for physical activity. I love taking fitness classes at the gym, so I had to get creative when it … [Read more...]

Aimee Cane Realtor

I connected with Aimee Cane on Instagram a while back. She's a California Realtor with a focus on the San Fernando Valley. Her two sub-specialties are working with real estate investors and working with rentals. According to Aimee, LA is a great rental market. I'm very curious about the current conditions of the LA real estate market and I thought it would be fascinating to interview someone in the real estate industry at this time. Please … [Read more...]

Digital Movie Giveaway

For most of us, especially those who live states that are on “lockdown” mode like California and New York – we are sheltering in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This means working from home and for those with children, homeschooling (or distance learning) for the first time. During this unprecedented time and in honor of Women's History Month, I have partnered with Lionsgate to offer codes for a digital movie giveaway for the following … [Read more...]

Our New Normal

So much has changed in the span of a week. Just the other day, I was publishing my opinion piece on “Keeping Calm & Carrying On” when it comes to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). At the time I was feeling that we should remain “business as usual” and to some degree I still do. However I feel like in time, we will all need to start adjust to a new normal. Last night I held an event at StretchLab Granada Hills. I expected cancellations … [Read more...]

Nathan Sawaya - Yellow Sculpture

Last weekend, the California Science Center premiered its newest exhibit – the Art of the Brick! Featuring over 100 works of art created from over one million LEGO bricks by artist Nathan Sawaya, a former corporate lawyer. My daughter and I were invited to a special viewing for media last Sunday and we were SO impressed with the scale and design of the artwork. It’s truly a must-see! A few years back, my parents went to the Louvre … [Read more...]

Keep Calm Wash Your Hands Poster

On a scale of 1 to 10, from mildly concerned to super paranoid, how worried are you about Coronavirus (COVID-19)? Last Thursday, I was probably a 2 or 3 – somewhat concerned but I didn’t give it too much thought since it wasn’t in Los Angeles County (yet) and I practice good hygiene. However, now that there are 6 cases in LA County, I would say that I’m slightly worried at about a 5 or 6. There’s a fine line between being careful and letting … [Read more...]
