EVER Skincare 30-Day Challenge + Giveaway!

Posted on June 2, 2016 | Filed Under: Product Reviews | Tags: 30 day challenge, Ever Skincare, Kelly Mobeck | 15 Comments

I was introduced to EVER Skincare by my friend Kelly Mobeck, who is a Founding Leader with the company. If you follow my blog, then you’ll remember that I interviewed Kelly earlier in the year after meeting her at MomFair.

We all know that it takes 30-days to make (or break) a habit. In fact, it took me a month to get used to the intense running & water-rowing exercise at Orangetheory Fitness. However hard work pays off & it helped me with my recent 10k race.

So when I was asked to take the EVER Skincare 30-Day Challenge back in April, I was eager to give it a shot! The skincare regimen is four simple steps; however, you get 5 products in your EVER Skincare Regimen Kit.

EVER - Regimen Full Kit

Kelly gave me specific instructions to wash my face both morning & at night, which I thought I would have trouble with since I’m a nighttime face washer. After turning 40 a couple years back, I’ve had issues with dry skin, especially around my chin & lips. So my concern with washing twice a day was that it would really dry out my skin.

Not so with the cleansing balm! I used this after my morning workout at the gym & then again at nighttime before bed. I have to admit that the first time I used it, it felt somewhat greasy but Kelly reassured me that it was perfectly normal! (Note: For those with oily or combo skin, you’ll want to order the purifying gel cleanser.) Two weeks into the challenge, I noticed that the flaky, dry skin that I had around my mouth was gone.

The second step in the regimen is to exfoliate by using EVER’s Biomimetic Peel Pads. This step is only done at night & Kelly advised that I should use it 3 times a week (at first) & then increase the weekly usage once my skin adjusted to the product. Now I’m old enough to remember using those Oxy Clean Pads, so I was expecting my skin to get that dry, tight feeling after I used those pads. That wasn’t the case with these peel pads.

EVER - Biomimetic Pads

The third step is to treat your skin with a product that is rich with antioxidants, peptides & nutrients. It’s called the Quattro Peptide Face & Eye Serum. Kelly explained that I should use two pumps of the serum & smooth it onto my face in upward strokes. You use the serum after both day & night face washing.

The fourth & final step is to moisturize your skin. After washing your face in the morning, you’ll want to use the Daylight SPF Cream (which has an SPF of 20). At nighttime I used the Hydralift Cream.

EVER - Moisturizers

So what did I think of my skin after the 30 days? It felt softer than ever (pun intended!). 🙂 Now I didn’t take before & after photos because honestly I was slightly traumatized by having to do that for a blog post two years ago. However the dry patches on my skin are gone & I like the way my skin looks. So I’m sticking with EVER Skincare! Also the EVER Skincare Regimen Kit (while they say it is a 30-day supply), it is actually more like a two month supply because I’m going on week 6 & have yet to run out.

Another plus about EVER is their commitment to the environment. The Regiment Kit comes in a recyclable box.

Another cool thing about their packaging is that the product itself is labeled so that you know what step you are on. As someone who is used to only using a cleanser & moisturizer, I needed this visual aid to tell me what order to use the product.

EVER - Order Numbering

EVER - Packaging Number System

With EVER, you never have to worry about certain chemicals in their products. The company promises to make products that are free of formaldehyde, parabens, sulfates, phthalates & toluene (which is that toxic chemical found in certain nail polishes). You can read the full list & get more info on EVER’s Conscious Beauty philosophy here.

I think I am most interested in the spf moisturizer as I have been looking for a good spf for my face that isn’t too oily. I am also currently on the hunt for a new skincare line overall so it would be great to try it all!
