In school, I had a journal that I used to love writing in. I tried to write in it daily but I generally wrote in it a few times a week. Sometimes I would write about my day at school, about my mood or life in general. Other times I’d make lists or doodle in it.
As an adult, I’ve discovered that journaling is a great way to relax and de-stress. It’s an opportunity to quiet the mind, take a few minutes out of your day to write your thoughts out using a pen and paper. There are also different types of journal styles such as a travel journal, food diary, workout journal and gratitude journal.
I also enjoy writing lists and making outlines of future blogs posts in notebooks. As much as I have embraced the digital age, it’s nice to have something physical to write in. I may not write in it daily, but I found that having a nice journal inspires me to write more.
This gorgeous blue journal made from Italian leather is from Pen Heaven. I love that it can be personalized with embossing!
Also, another must when writing is having a top-notch pen, like the Parker Vector Fountain Pen. It’s stylish and the quality is wonderful!
The fountain pen retails for $23 and journal is $37, not including embossing. However, there are a variety of journals and writing instruments at varying price points. For more information, check out the Pen Heaven website here and don’t forget to check out their Instagram for the latest updates!
