Yesterday was the first Sunday in a long time where I had no work, personal or blogging obligations. It felt really nice to hang out & chill. Sure I did a load or two of laundry, but I wasn't frantically trying to fold it in between checking Facebook or other social media. Speaking of social media, generally I check my accounts a lot throughout the day…and by a lot, I mean at least once every 1-2 hours (give or take). You would think I … [Read more...]
Keysocks Knee High Socks
We’ve finally had a break from the heatwave & today’s temps are even cooler. While it’s not quite cool enough to break out the Uggs (although some LA hipsters my disagree), I decided to forgo the flip flops yesterday & wear knee high socks with my flats instead. However these aren’t just your ordinary knee highs, these are Keysocks. These special socks are meant for wearing with flats or high heels as a “no show” sock. I just … [Read more...]
#Caliwater Cactus Water Keeps Me Hydrated
I drink a lot of water during the day, especially on days that I work out. Gotta keep hydrated! Fortunately for me, I've had Caliwater Cactus Water to satisfy my thirst. Never heard of cactus water? I didn't either until about 3 weeks ago when I saw Kat Odell's Instagram pic of it. eShakti: Fashionable Clothes Made to Your Size & Style!
As a petite woman, it’s challenging to find dresses that fit me just right, in a style that I love. Often times I’ll see a style but wish I could make it shorter in length or adjust the sleeves. Personally I don’t like the way cap sleeves look on me & would prefer either a sleeveless or a slightly longer sleeve. As someone who is 4’ 11", dresses that are supposed to hit me at the knee are often longer. So it’s either look for a mini skirt … [Read more...]
Meet Kristine de la Cruz of Crème Caramel LA
In November 2013, I visited Crème Caramel LA in Sherman Oaks with my daughter. The bakery is known for their delicious sweet treats such as bread puddings, crème caramels & my favorite Ube Upside Down Pie! During my visit to the store, I had the pleasure of meeting the owner & baker, Kristine de la Cruz. She is Filipina (just like me) & when Typhoon Haiyan hit the Philippines last year, she donated her baked goods to a charity … [Read more...]
Time for Three CD Review + Giveaway
I was recently introduced to the band, Time for Three (Tf3). The members of Time For Three are Nick Kendall - Violin, Zach De Pue - Violin & Ranaan Meyer - Double Bass. They are classically trained string musicians who perform classical music from Bach & Brahms, but then during that same concert will play songs from contemporary artists such as Katy Perry, Kanye West & Justin Timberlake. In fact, it is Time for Three's cover of the … [Read more...]
